ATLANTA BOUND

I am headed to Atlanta. It is amazing to think that four years ago this month I started out in a new city with all new people. I remember how scared and lonely I felt and how I had no idea who I was. It is amazing that today I sit here in awe at who God has allowed me to be and what I have been blessed to experience.

Now I am starting all over again, new city, new outlook because this time I know that I am not alone. This time I have waiting near by a supportive sister, a church home, and a steadfast relationship with God.

Already there have been so many opportunities thrown my way and I have yet to move there. I hate to say it but I’m anxious. However, I am constantly reminding myself of Philippians 4:4-9

4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
